Treatment-Specific FAQ’s

Dermal Fillers - FAQ

  • The dermal fillers currently used at Subtle T Aesthetics belong to the Restylane and RHA families. They can be expected to last up to 18 months. However, every patient is unique, and different outcomes may occur.

  • Every individual is unique and needs depend on age, volume lost, and personal differences. One person may only require one treatment while the next may require several over a period of time. I provide a free consultation to determine if dermal fillers are the right treatment for you and the most effective path for you to reach your skincare goals.

  • Dental appointments should be avoided two weeks before and two weeks after your filler treatment as there is a high incidence of systemic infection associated with the two. Anything that increases your risk of bleeding should be avoided like alcohol and NSAIDS (Motrin, Aleve).

  • Avoid applying makeup for at least 24 hours after a treatment. INhance bruise cream is available to decrease bruising and swelling.

  • Bruising, swelling, redness, pain, and tenderness are the most frequent side effects. Generally, these side effects disappear within one week following injection.

Hair PRP - FAQ

  • You should shower and wash your hair on the day of treatment, if possible.

  • It is recommended that you AVOID washing your hair for 24 hours after treatment.

Intravenous (IV) Wellness Infusions - FAQ

  • Most people notice an increase in energy levels and an overall health enhancing boost. Optimum vitamin and mineral levels support proper metabolism, cortisol levels, cellular health, mood, and good sleep patterns. Vitamin therapy can also be an immune system boost.

  • Yes, vitamin IV therapy is very safe provided it is administered by a licensed medical practitioner and overseen by a Medical Director. High quality vitamins, minerals and amino acids are sourced from certified suppliers.

  • Depending on your nutritional needs you may see dramatic effects after the first IV. People who get regular IVs will feel less dramatic effects as their body approaches homeostasis. Some people get IVs weekly or several times a month as needed.

  • Many people do not absorb vitamins in their digestive track very well. For those dealing with digestive issues such as constipation, Chrohn’s, celiac, or IBS it can be helpful to bypass the digestive track and go directly to the bloodstream for high absorption at a cellular level.

Microneedling with PRP - FAQ

  • When you arrive at Subtle T Aesthetics, all required paperwork should be completed. You are then instructed to wash your face and numbing crème is applied in all areas to be treated. I then draw your blood and place it in a centrifuge to separate your PRP from the inflammatory red blood cells. The numbing crème is removed and your face is cleansed with the prescribed cleanser and the PRP is microneedled into your skin with the JuvPen. This delivers the growth factors into the deepest levels of your skin where they will promote collagen regeneration and help reverse the signs of aging. These procedures are best done in a series of three, spaced 30-45 days apart.

  • PRP facials are otherwise known as collagen induction therapy. PRP stimulates cellular turnover which improves skin tone and reduces pore size. It also treats etched lines, rosacea, acne, acne scarring, stretch marks, and sun damage.

  • Contraindications to PRP treatments include medical conditions like thrombocytopenia (low platelet count), hypofibrinogenaemia (low fibrinogen count), sepsis/infection, anti-coagulation therapy, and chronic liver disease.

  • Results are seen in as little as three days and continue to improve for 90 days after treatment.

PDO AfterGlo - FAQ

  • There is no downtime unless paired with a more aggressive treatment like RF microneedling or laser. Although, it actually helps minimize downtime of aggressive treatments.

  • Immediately. Results are seen after one treatment. The skin is brighter, tighter, and hydrated.

  • We recommend three treatments spaced four weeks apart for maximum results.

  • The results get better over time. After the original three treatments, repeat every six months.

  • ❌ Same contraindications as micro needling such as bleeding disorders or a tendency to keloid with scars

❌ Allergies to hyaluronic acid or PDO sutures

    ❌ Autoimmune

    ❌ Pregnancy
